Thanks to the Judge Business School!
[December 2006] We recently had the opportunity to work with a team of five MBAs at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. The MBA team worked with Leap to explore a variety of business models and how these impact the financial sustainability of the organisation.
As expected, Leap will adopt a hybrid revenue generation model. Leap is accessing grants where possible, and maintaining a flexible organisational structure so the organisation can respond appropriately to other financing mechanisms. Although we know that Leap has great value to its users, both travellers and Local guides, we do not underestimate the challenge of making an internet based organisation financially sustainable. This can be particularly difficult for an organisation with charitable aims and big plans, but we have some ideas. Watch this space!
