 Re:Background Eco-Hotel in Peru - 2008/02/03 01:13 We stayed in a hotel run by Germans in Guatemala on Lago de Atitlan. We were in the town of San Marcos a boat ride from Panajachel. They had composting toilets and water heated from solar the name of the place was Aaclaxx and can be found in the Lonely Planet guide book to Guatemala.

 Re:Background Eco-Hotel in Peru - 2008/02/13 00:31 Thanks for your lead, Merlo, will look them up. It would be amazing to generate all our own electricity. I think we need to have gas back-up or extra heating up for solar water heating otherwise people wont be able to have warm showers in the morning, but it will make a big difference.
