Description
How can I possibly sum up a once-in-a-lifetime experience in just a few short paragraphs?Mother Earth Tours took excellent care of our group and Aly Amaut was a fantastic tour guide! Aly has a passion for his heritage and it was enjoyable learning about the history, geography, flora and fauna of the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo, the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. I appreciated his philosophy of “don’t race to the next campsite, enjoy the trek along the way”. It felt like we were the only group on the Inca Trail instead of a bunch of tourists. Aly’s enthusiasm was infectious beginning each leg of the trek with “Let’s rock and roll!”, offering encouraging words along the way, and congratulating each person with a “good job” and high-five handshake as they arrived to every pit stop.
I can’t forget to mention the food we were served on the Trail. Aly’s team at Mother Earth Tours fed us like we were kings! The food was very tasty and I never left the table feeling like I was still hungry. We were also spoiled with some wonderful desserts.
Aly is more than just an amazing tour guide. I feel like I have a great friend from Peru. I would not hesitate to recommend Aly Amaut and Mother Earth Tours! I just may have to go back to Peru again.
Thank you, Aly!
