Jorge is a freelance journalist based in Lima and a savvy guide to the city itself and its culinary circuit, including markets, restaurants and bars. He is also widely travelled in Peru and can guide you to the most popular destinations, as well as to off-the-beaten-path routes and circuits along the country's coastal strip, in the highlands or in the Amazon jungle. If you have any particular preferences and needs, no matter what they are (archaeology, gastronomy, nature, adventure, or cultural), Jorge can organize a tailor-made tour for you. His English is perfect as he was raised in Canada (to Peruvian parents who moved back here when he was six so he is still properly local!).

Description

Jorge and I sampled fantastic seafood and pisco sours at some of the best restaurants in Lima. We also took the pisco tour south, visiting Chinca, Ica, Paracas, & Pisco. He gave fantastic recommendations for regions to visit, and the places to see and eat when there. My time in Peru would not have been the same without him.

Best bits: Discovering Tacu Tacu

Worst bits: Loosing all my photos of our time together!

Description

I spent few days with Jorge in Lima and I couldn't have dreamt of better company & guide: starting with the lunch in Barranco, visiting historical center in Lima, having fun in the night, helping to arrange our further travel around Peru and of course tons of useful information about his country, its culture and customs. Without his help my travel to Peru wouldn't have been my unforgettable experience!

Best bits: food!!! sightseeing, evening activities, sould mate & helping hand

Worst bits: evening activities (:P), soul mate :P

Description

I have discoverd many places of Peru thanks to Jorge and especially in Lima, the Sacred Valley and Huancayo.
It was a comprehensive experience discovering Peruvian gastronomy and the most beautiful places at the same time.

Best bits: culinary experiences and full moon visits

Worst bits: too much eating and drinking maybe :)
