DescriptionPucallpa(Puerto Callao) - Lake Yarinococha & surr. tributories, 5 day trip, check website; River and Jungle
Gilber will talk everything over with you. I.e.what you´d like to eat. We did fruit, sweet potatoes, plaintains, bananas, fresh fish! You can stop in the market. I travelled alone woth GIlber and his son as guides. I was safe and cared for completely. Gilber speakd English, Spanish and Portugese. My trip was along rivers that were inhabited by small villagesof Shipibo. Gilber knows them and we stayed one night in a village - good stories and beautiful grafts. They let me try an indiginous canoe. Lots of dolphins, sloths, monkeys, birds, butterflies! Also a possibility of Ahyuavascha journeys if you like. Very great trip. I ws dirty, muddy, happy - Caution - only the mosquitoes. Very eco aware. Listed in Lonely planet.
Best bits: amazing experience
Worst bits: mosquitoes
