Comments: Christian was our guide on Inkatrail and Machu Piccu from 28.07. to 01.08.2009. We were completily satisfied with his work. He's an experienced tourleader, well educated and allways friendly. we learned a lot about Peruvian nature and history and he could answer all questions we had. Thanks for an amazing trekking tour! Description
He´s fantastic! Christian gave me an 8-day, one-on-one, intensive tour of the Sacred Valley, Cuzco, Machu Picchu and adjacent sites (archaeological, religious, cultural, historical, beautiful scenery). He taylored his tour to my specified interests, and was sensitive to my limitations. He´s kind, patient, very friendly and good-natured, and an extremely informative guide. He clearly enjoyed sharing his Quechua/Inca culture, both ancient and modern, which made the trip a real treat for me. And, his services were inexpensive and he was very hard-working. Because he´s often guiding others on long trips, he can be a little hard to reach. But be persistent, as he´s really worth the effort!
Best bits: How genuinely devoted he is to sharing his heritage.
Worst bits: Leaving!

Jacqui Chin spent 2-5 days with Christian Calla Palomino.
Description
We trekked from Lares Valley hot springs over the high pass into the Scared Valley and Ollantaytambo, with Christian as guide and his lovely wife Lillian as master chef. En route we passed remote farming communities with children in brilliantly coloured clothing herding llamas, pure glacial lakes, gnarled forests, and spectacular views throughout.
Best bits: Friendly, expert and considerate company from Christian and Lillian. Unspoilt and remote scenary.
Worst bits: Cold nights (but no problem if you dress warmly, and eat lots of Lillian's food).

Comments: Christian was one of the most considerate guides I have met, judging when to let you take it in yourself, when to help you set the pace and taking obvious pleasure in showing you his beautiful country and culture. The description can't bring to life what a great experience you can have with Christian.

Comments: Christian told us a lot about the life in Peru and the Incas and his fascination about the culture toke us too. He showed us many different animals like Chinchillas, Honeysuckers, Llamas etc. and plants (Passion fruit, Coffee,...). In the beginning of this year he was in Germany to learn the language, and we had some funny Germen- and Spanish lessons on the way and at dinner :)

Description
Lares-Trek We drove from Cusco to Urubamba, there we met Casiano with the horses. First we bought at the local makret food for 4 days. Then we start trekking to Pacchac, where we spent the first night. The landscape was fantastic, very green and beautiful. At the 2nd day we were climbing up the Pumawanka Pass. On the way down there were beautifull lakes! We spent the night in Cuncan, a nice traditional village. At the 3rd day we had a relaxing walkt to Lares, the hot springs, there we spent our last night. The whole trek was amazing. Christian was always very helpful and reliable! I would anytime again do a trek with Christian!
Best bits: Pumawanka Pass, mountains lake, traditional villages... christians helpful and pleasant way...
