Inappropriate / Inaccurate? Curasi Hotel

Description:

Curasi Hotel is a family run (yet professionaly run) hotel, in the Oasis town of Huacachina Peru. The hotel's private courtyard and pool have spectacular dune views.

Curasi has a restaurant but is also in immediate proximity to the many lagoon-side eating establishments and bars.

There is free parking in the safe compound where the dune buggies are parked.

The staff can arrange dune buggy and sand boarding tours.

The rooms are immaculate and the beds are comfortable but most important they have excellent, high-pressure hot water showers, which are crucial for removing the sand that you collect in astonishing places while tumbling down the dunes.

The hotel also has guide or driver accomodation. They can provide group rates, travel agent rates and can accomodate group dining and functions as well.

Description

I stayed for one night at Curasi and did a sandboarding and dune buggy tour that they arranged. I wish I could have stayed another day. This would be an excellent spot on a long journey to take a breather for a couple days, with a good book and enjoy the local dining, sport and beautiful landscape.

Best bits: Sometimes it is nice on a long journey to feel like you've dropped into a resort for a moment - this gives you that feeling without actually being a resort. Plus the sandboarding is insanely fun. And the view is utterly mindblowing.
Worst bits: The pool was probably a tad nippy for most folks.
