Description
I recently was in Kyrgyzstan for several weeks and stayed at this hotel at various points during the trip. Asia Mountains is luxury after yurts and guest houses. It is a great place to fully relax in a quality of accommodation that is very difficult to find in Kyrgyzstan. This is a first world hotel - with prices one could never imagine in the first world.
Although this was the most expensive hotel I stayed at in Kyrgyzstan, it was an absolute bargain for what you get. The free wireless internet meant savings - no cab to internet cafe or fees. And the breakfast buffet (which is included) was the most generous in selection that I encountered anywhere in the country.
Best bits: Free unlimited wireless internet that works on the top floor of the hotel even, nice sheets and pillows, an ensuite bathroom that always had hot running water, air conditioning that worked well, the hotel was immaculate, helpful staff, always able to find someone who spoke English, beautiful grounds, huge selection on the breakfast buffet, lovely dining areas (even poolside dining).
Worst bits: The handheld shower nozzle in a bathtub without a shower curtain. This is standard in Kyrgyzstan - not to have a proper shower stall or shower-head. It's pretty tricky not to soak everything (for a westerner who is used to a mounted shower-head and stall.)
