Inappropriate / Inaccurate? Senor Oswaldo

Description:

I went to Pizac as an independent traveller, not in one of the guided tours from Cusco. I wanted to walk up to the Inca site to appreciate the views, but as a nearly elderly lady I preferred to take a guide to show me the way and for safety. Pizac is not set up for guiding, conventionally one would walk by oneself or take a taxi to the top; upon arriving there are English-speaking wardens who will act as guide. However, I asked at the museum just at the base of the path and was introduced to Senor Oswaldo, who after some confusion, not helped by my lack of Spanish, agreed to show me the way.

Description

Oswaldo was as good as his word and showed me to the top safely. It took me about 2 hours, I believe I young man could do it in less!

Best bits: Enjoying the views, as I´d hoped
Worst bits: Oswaldo did not speak English so could not tell me about the route up.
