Cities In America Every Single Guy Should Visit: Our Top Ten Picks

Unfortunately for us humans, we are only young and dumb for a short period of time, and as we age, the window for wild adventures gets smaller and smaller.

It is for this reason that we should spend our younger years grasping these opportunities with both hands – especially as young, single people with minimal commitments.

US Cities Every Single Guy Should Visit

Luckily, there are numerous places within the United States that can provide these wild adventures – and in fact everyone should visit them at some point in their lives.

But what exactly are the best party cities in America, and what makes them so special?

Ten Must-See Cities For Single Guys

To help us delve into this more clearly, we have put together a list of our top ten picks for the best, must-see cities in the United States that all single guys must experience at least once.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

1. Las Vegas, Nevada

Unsurprisingly, the first city on our list is Las Vegas, Nevada. Otherwise known as ‘Sin City’, Las Vegas is widely known the world over for its various delights, including gambling, drinking, nightclubbing, music, and just an all round weird good time.

Vegas is very much in two halves – the modern and the retro – with the modern casinos offering the contemporary Vegas experiences, and the older 1970s casinos offering something a little more out there and gritty.

And what better way to have fun when you’re young and single?

With some of the best casinos in the world, some of the best bars, the cheapest hotels, and smoking indoors, Las Vegas really does live up to its reputation – services that it was designed to deliver when it was first established back in the 1940s.

2. Hollywood, California

Next on our list is a place that needs no introduction: Hollywood, California. Known as the social hub for the rich and famous in the Los Angeles entertainment industry, Hollywood is also a surprisingly good night spot, with numerous quirky bars, clubs, and restaurants.

There are several sections of Hollywood to explore: Hollywood and Vine, Hollywood and Highland – where you can see Grauman’s Chinese Theater amongst other landmarks – and West Hollywood, the home of the sunset strip – a street that holds numerous venues and bars where people of all ages can have a great time.

This part of the city especially has long been a hotspot for wild nights and Hollywood scandals, stretching back to the Golden Age of Hollywood when stars like Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, and countless others would drink and party the night away.

In this city, every establishment has a story to tell, and who knows, you might even see a celebrity on your wild adventure?

3. New Orleans, Louisiana

Of course, no list of American party towns would be complete without New Orleans, Louisiana.

Since its founding in 1718, New Orleans has long been a place where anything goes, and the city has developed a specific reputation for the weird, the wonderful, and for being one of the greatest party cities in the country.

But New Orleans isn’t just about Mardi Gras, and in fact there are numerous great events that happen throughout the year that everyone should experience once in their lifetime.

Even a regular weeknight in this city is life changing, and there are any number of bars, nightclubs, jazz clubs, and gambling houses to keep you entertained all night long.

Why not check it out for yourselves?

4. Miami, Florida

The city of Miami has long been known as a place that likes to party – and in fact the University of Miami has often been considered the wildest party college in the United States.

And who could blame them? With some of the best beaches, a vibrant music and nightlife scene, and some of the best food and beverages in the world, Miami is a city that invites wild, fun times – especially at peak seasons like spring break.

With a prominent Latinx community, as well as elements of African and European cultures, Miami is very much a melting pot, and this could go some way to explain why the place feels so vibrant, alive, and carefree. This really is one to check out!

5. Reno, Nevada

While Las Vegas might be the primary location for fun in Nevada, there are numerous other little towns that offer a unique experience of their own.

One such place is Reno, Nevada – billing itself as the ‘Biggest Little City in the World’, and home to some great bars, nightclubs, casinos, and all manner of other activities to keep you entertained.

If you are looking for a more down to Earth experience, but with many of the amenities of Las Vegas, then Reno is certainly a great place to come and have fun with friends.

What’s more, the city is notably cheaper than Vegas itself, which means that those on a budget can experience a taste of the high life without breaking the bank in the process.

6. New York City, New York

Known (amongst other things) as the ‘city that never sleeps’, New York City needs no introduction, and more than deserves a prime spot on this list.

Famous the world over for its bars, nightlife, restaurants, and activities, this is a great place to come with friends, see the sights, have a wild time, and experience one of the greatest cities in the world.

Of course, the good times aren’t just reserved for Manhattan, and there are numerous great night spots in Brooklyn, and on Staten Island – both of which have undergone dramatic urban renewal over the past couple of decades, and which offer much more than first meets the eye!

7. Austin, Texas

Perhaps surprisingly, Austin, Texas has become something of a social hub in the past couple of years – helped in part by renewed funding for the city, a growing liberal community, as well as major music festivals such as South By Southwest and Austin City Limits.

As well as this, more and more celebrities are leaving the once heavenly climes of Los Angeles in favor of Austin – due to the cheaper cost of living, and the growing entertainment scene in the city.

With all this in mind, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Austin has some of the best bars, restaurants, night clubs, and entertainment venues in the country, and very much represents a departure from other elements of the state’s image.

8. Atlantic City, New Jersey

Since the Victorian era, Atlantic City has been the social party hub for the rich, famous, and average Joes alike – an image immortalized by TV series like Boardwalk Empire.

Much like Las Vegas and Reno, Atlantic City’s main attractions are its nightlife – with some of the best casinos in the world, as well as numerous amusement arcades, activities, bars, restaurants, and of course beaches.

As one of the oldest party towns in America, Atlantic City is certainly not one to miss!

9. Nashville, Tennessee

Famed for its country, blues, and folk music, Nashville Tennessee has long been a place of pilgrimage for artists, music fans, and partiers alike – and actually plays host to some of the best bars, venues, comedy clubs, and restaurants, offering plenty to keep you entertained and well oiled.

What’s more, Nashville has a distinct feel to it – a feeling like it has always been there, and one that continually inspires new generations of artists and outlaws.

So if you are looking for a great taste of the south, then Nashville is right up your alley!

10. Chicago, Illinois

Last on our list, but by no means least, we have Chicago, Illinois – a somewhat underrated city, but one that has much to offer in terms of nightlife.

Firstly, Chicago has some of the best restaurants in the world – not to mention some of the best pizza – and there are countless bars and nightclubs to wet your appetite.

What’s more, for the music fans amongst you, there is a long history of blues and rock n roll within the windy city – a scene that has kept the rock n roll outlaw spirit alive and well in Illinois state!
